Michigan Licensing Course Instructions

Important information to ensure all completion requirements are met. Please read prior to beginning your course.

We will do our very best to make the process of completing your licnesing education requirements as simple as possible.

Here is what you will need to do to help the process run smoothly:

1.COMPLETE YOUR ONLINE COURSE

You must complete all of the content within the course in order to receive credit. Be aware that if you are inactive in a course for twenty minutes, the course will time out and you will need to log back in.

The Michigan Real Estate Board also mandates that all online real estate education students spend a required amount of time in the course.

In the Table of Contents within your course, on the left, you can click the + sign to expand each section. On the right hand side, you will see check marks turn from gray to black as you complete each section. You can also follow the percentage icon which will increase for every portion completed in each section, and clicking the bar chart will show you how much time you spent in that unit.

After all time has been accrued, your final exam for this course will be available online. A score of 75% or higher is considered passing

Please be sure to provide an evaluation at the completion of the course content via the Feedback node in the course.

2. ACCEPT YOUR AFFIDAVIT

You are required to accept an electronic affidavit as part of the completion of this course stating you have completed each assigned module of instruction. You will need to complete this step before your course is Complete.

3. ACCESS YOUR COURSE COMPLETION CERTIFICATE

Once you complete all course content, meet the seat time requirement and accept your affidavit, you must contact your school to receive your certificate.

4. SCHEDULE YOUR STATE EXAM

NOTICE from LARA:   Changes for Real Estate Salesperson Exam Candidates

Effective August 25, 2020 the Bureau of Professional Licensing transitioned from our old licensing system (COLA) to the new Michigan Professional Licensing User System (MiPLUS) for Real Estate licensees.  As a result of the transition, applications for licensure must be submitted online at www.michigan.gov/miplus.

Real Estate Salesperson exam candidates will no longer receive a Michigan Real Estate Exam Candidate (MIRE) email from the Bureau of Professional Licensing. Instead, they will receive an email directly from our testing provider, PSI Online, that contains their Exam Candidate ID number. Exam candidates should check their SPAM or Junk Mail folders in the event the email is not received in their Inbox within 24-48 hours after approval is granted.

Additionally, PSI has established a dedicated telephone number for Michigan exam candidates at (855) 579-4635.

If you have additional questions regarding licensure, we recommend that you follow this link to review the MI Real Estate site from the Michigan Real Estate Board.
